It’s very easy to feel depleted and stressed out during the holiday season – sometimes we just take on too much, all at once. While it’s always important to prioritize self care, it’s even more critical these days when we need (and want!) to be fully present for our loved ones.

To help you stay healthy and happy during this time of year, I’ve got some amazing places in our local community you should definitely check out:

Also, please don’t miss the VegFest at Mizner Park this Saturday, December 14!

Lastly, check out Yoga Journey’s meditation classes, 12:30-1:00pm Monday-Friday (no experience needed!).

Have a beautiful holiday season, and please, take care of yourself!

Sending lots of love,

Hey guys, happy Wednesday, happy holidays and welcome back to Wednesday Wisdom. I first want to give a shout out to lululemon, I’m so loving the outerwear jacket! This is my second time wearing it, and it has kept me so warm, and it’s so cozy. So thank you so much!

I just wanted to remind you this holiday season to stay with practices that keep you centered, that keep you elevated. And, it can be simple. It can be writing, it can be taking 5 minutes to breathe in and breathe out, it can be creating something new in your life that you’ve been wanting to do. But this is a really busy time of the year and it’s important that you don’t neglect your routine, and neglect things that elevate you. Just like having a coach. You know, if there is something that you’ve been wanting to do, that you wanted to create in your life on a personal or professional level, create that.

There’s so many amazing amazing things that you can do, from coaches, to books. Books I highly recommend are “The Power of Intention” by Dr. Wayne Dyer, and the second one is Gabrielle Bernstein’s “Super Attractor”. Both of those books are amazing and it just helps you to manifest, and it helps you to create whatever it is that you’re looking for in your life. And especially yoga and meditation. It’s a way to look inward, it’s a way for us to see how we respond you know there’s patterns that we don’t realize that we’ve continued through our life. So take this time to make sure you stay with your routines. Let yourself drop in, let yourself take time to write and continue those rituals no matter how busy life gets or during this time of the year. It will help you make conscious choices. And if you haven’t had a yoga practice, it’s okay. Simply taking a child’s pose, simply closing your eyes and breathing in for 5 and exhaling for 5, that will change everything. Just try it and see what happens.

Enjoy the season and continue to be conscious of practices that elevate you, because that way you can stay centered, you can stay calm. I love you guys, and I just want to shout out to all the beautiful souls from this morning that always inspire me every week every day through your practice. And also I just wanted to remind you of how important it is to be aware of your mindset. You can manifest and you can create whatever it is that you want. We have those choices and just being aware there’s choices.

There was something that I wanted to create a few weeks ago, and I am beyond excited because it was presented to me just a few weeks ago and I am so honored to be collaborating with Kema Earth. It’s a line that is a spiritual line for men – and for women – but more for men. Because I find that they have their own journey and just a reminder to wear a bracelet or have a mala to help them stay centered and to help them on their path to elevate whatever it is that they’re working on.

So enjoy the holiday season! I’m always so honored and so grateful for everyone’s feedback. I love you guys. Happy holidays, namaste.

I just wanted to wish everyone a beautiful Thanksgiving. Whether you’re traveling or you’re here locally, remember that breathing is going to help us always through this time of the year. It’s a busy time with traveling, getting together with family, and really enjoying every moment. Remember that it’s a time of the year to count our blessings, we have so much to be grateful for, and just being in gratitude. Something that I restarted this week is writing in my gratitude journal. Something shifts when we write down every little thing that we are grateful for. So just enjoy, and… breathe. Breathing will help you stay centered and grounded. Keep your rituals that you have every day, even if you’re traveling, sit down and meditate for five minutes.

I love this week. So many of you shared with me, “You know what, I finally am starting to meditate!” And I love it because that’s the journey. You know, we continue to evolve, we continue to make choices to help our mind and body. Don’t stress over the little things, they’re just little things. And remember that everyone deserves so much love and kindness, and everyone has a story that they’re going through. So be kind, spread love, and don’t forget to breathe through this holiday season.

I love you guys! Have the most amazing amazing Thanksgiving! I pray for each of you to have so many blessings at your table, and so much love.

Namaste, peace out.

Today I want to remind you of the importance of self-care and the importance of rituals. Especially with the holidays just around the corner, our minds can have so many “tabs” open. So the more busy you are in your life I highly recommend that you practice having a meditation practice, having a tapping practice, having a pranayama practice, or simply just going to yoga. Yoga is a way to move energy, it’s a way to release any tension that we’re holding onto in the mind and body. Don’t try to do everything this holiday season. Take the time to slow down, always practicing a moment of stillness.

If you are not reading a book right now, I highly recommend The Power of Now, which you can find on my Amazon page (click here). And don’t wait till 2020! Just create a sacred practice for you, so that way you know at the end of the day or in the morning. This is what I do to keep myself centered, because if we can practice ways to stay centered we can make conscious choices throughout the day that is in line with our values and our intentions. So guys, just enjoy the holidays and know that it’s a beautiful time of the year to give, and also to be present in our own life, in our own way of moving, not just on the mat but in life. So, enjoy! I love you guys. Namaste, peace out.

So what I’ve done to work through my fears is reading a lot of books. For those that know me I do love to read, but reading has been more than just picking up a book. It’s really taking the information and applying it into your life, and that’s what I’ve learned so much from Dr. Wayne Dyer, from Gabrielle Bernstein, from Debbie Ford. And it’s making a conscious choice. One of the lessons I love that I’ve learned from Gabby Bernstein is you can choose love, or you can choose fear, at any time. And it’s a choice, and being conscious of those choices. And when you start to move away fear, then you start to feel better because fear is energy. Fear is just like anything else, like when we eat something and we’re not feeling good, it’s the same thing. If there’s something that you continue to feel in your intuition and your core, but you continue to feed that, and you know it’s not a healthy thought, that affects us.

If you struggle with fear, please check out the books I recommend below.

In today’s class I talked about Nirodah; stillness. Practicing yoga quiets our minds and allows us to listen to our emotions. We can access what we are truly feeling when we are in a place that is ready to receive and open to listening. Oftentimes we bottle up our emotions out of fear that they will cause disruption in our lives, relationships, and work. Acknowledging our feelings makes them real and all the more scary. But once we address how we feel, we finally become free. Yoga provides the opportunity to experience that freedom, as we can breathe, move, and work through our emotions. There have been so many times in my life in which I have suppressed what I have felt in order to not “rock the boat”. Yoga led me back to the most raw and authentic version of me. I encourage you today to allow yourself to to cry, laugh, and talk about what’s on your mind. Don’t be afraid of tapping into what you truly feel. Namaste.

“Hi guys, and welcome back to “Wednesday Wisdom.” So today, I just wanted to address the importance of stillness in our life, and I know it’s hard because who has time to add something else? But I can tell you that it’s essential for your health, for your mind and for your body, just to simply be still. It can be as simple as closing your eyes and breathing in for four, and breathing out for four. There’s something that shifts, because what happens over time, stress and a lot of emotions can affect the energy body. And that’s why, you know, after a yoga class it’s like, Wow! We feel so much better and the same thing with the mind and having that practice of quieting, being still… it will change everything. And it helps you to get clear about the choices that make you make, and also your feelings. You want to honor your body, and something that has been so important for me is my meditation practice. Sometimes when busyness gets in the way, and a lot of feelings or emotions, I meditate more. It’s just a way to get clear, it’s a way to ground, it’s a way to center. And, I want to tell you, just don’t overcomplicate it. Just simply sit in any chair, or go to the beach, and just close your eyes and breathe and let your mind be still. Let the body be still because stillness speaks. It’s so important for your health and for your well-being. I love you guys, have the most amazing week! Namaste, peace out.”

Commitments are so important to honor and to follow through on, whether it’s your career, your dream, your vision. When we follow through on something that is important to us, then we start to feel this energetic support, and it begins with ourselves. If there’s something that you really, really want to work on and that you want to create, think about how you’re holding that space for you every day. Because we can have a thought, we can have a dream, and we can sit with those dreams. But if we don’t take action they just sit there. But once we start talking about it, working towards it, or researching information, or there’s a dream that you’ve had for a long time, but you sat with it for a long time, maybe just take action today.

I know that we’re coming into 2020 soon, and everybody has their commitments, their New Year’s resolutions… I always say, you know, make a commitment today. Don’t wait until the new year, don’t wait until, “you know what I’m ready to do this…”

Just do it.

We are supported. And it begins with ourselves, and it begins with following through on our own commitments, and not being afraid. Fear can so paralyze us, and if we stay in fear, and we stay in doubt, then it blocks us energetically. So today, please take action. Follow through, and please share with me on what you’re committing to. Because when we put it out there it just hold us accountable.

I love you guys, peace out. Namaste.

Matt Williams is one of my favorite people on the planet, so it was an absolute honor to be a guest on his podcast, “Wake Up The Sun” on September 17. Listen in as I share my rituals that help create the tone for each day, practices that keep me centered, and the power of the vibrations that those practices create.

“As you place more and more of your energy on what you intend to manifest you’ll start seeing those intentions materializing.” -Dr. Wayne Dyer

One of things I’ve learned from Dr. Dyer and Gabrielle Bernstein is that we must get clear on what we want in order to grow and expand. Once you do the work and get clear, you can begin to make space for manifestations to occur. Simply write down your thoughts and patterns that happen in your life every day.

Ask yourself, “Do these thoughts and behaviors align with what I want to attract in my life?”

The more time you put in, the faster you become magnetic and attract so many amazing things in your life! Once we decide and stay consistent we are supported and unexpected things begin to show up. Visions that you have always had begin to unfold through people and unexpected moments!

Commitment holds a grounding energy that provides structure, and keeps everything real.

Commit to this.

Commit to yourself.

Commit to what you want!

Taking a few moments in silence to develop a personal mantra is so important – it can be as simple as “I am”, “I am peace”, “Om Shanti” (which means peace), or “Sat Nam” (which means truth).

Mantras can be used anytime, especially if you are experiencing anxiety, fear, or stress. There has been research that mantras are an effective way to calm the mind. Gabrielle Bernstein’s “The Universe Has Your Back” card deck is full of amazing mantras to help you feel calm and at ease. It is a tool I’ve been using for over 20 years and has helped me tremendously.

Huge thanks to Louise Hay and Dr. Wayne Dyer for teaching me about mantras!
